Mas Cauvy is a distinctive destination: a small campsite in France that also provides Bed and Breakfast accommodations.
Our guest rooms with swimming pool are located between Alès and Anduze in the Gard, in a quiet and rural setting.
Mas Cauvy is a farmhouse dating back to at least the 17th century. It is an ancient métairie or shepherd of the castle of Montmoirac, which can be seen on the opposite hill.
It has a historical interest because it took place on December 24, 1702, on Christmas Eve, “The Battle of Mas Cauvy”. A little monument reminds this episode of the French religious wars.
Built on a hill, the house is surrounded by fields and woods but remains close to the village and its shops (2.5 kms).
After the creation of a small campsite on the farm from 1975, the guest rooms in Cevennes came naturally to offer more comfortable lodging for countryside lovers.

Located very close to the Cevennes, between Alès and Anduze, the Mas Cauvy offers an amazing panorama overlooking the countryside.
No radio, no television in the bed and breakfast, the time seems on hold at the Mas Cauvy! You will find instead the serenity of the countryside, the beautiful light of the south, the sunsets with orange reflections, the starry skies… It will finally be the opportunity for you to really relax!
The Mas Cauvy has been in our family for four generations. It was originally an agricultural farm dedicated to vegetable production. In 1975, Hélène opened a small campsite on the farm.
This campsite, with only 28 pitches, attracts nature lovers. So be reassured, it is very quiet and takes part in the great conviviality of the place!
You can of course access freely all the camping space to picnic, make a small game of petanque, or relax by the pool.
If you come as a family (we have a family room), your children will quickly find little friends at the campsite. Children really enjoy themselves at Mas Cauvy, thanks to the large space where they can run in complete freedom and safety.

Our guest rooms in Cevennes all have an ensuite bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilets. We provide you with bed and toilet linen.
On the decoration side, no trinket or overloads, we prefer the simplicity and rustic charm of the country houses. The Mas Cauvy keeps all its authentic features of Cevennes family houses.
For all the BnB rooms, the entrance is independent of the owners’ by the balcony, which overlooks the courtyard.
In front of your door, you have a table and chairs. You may read your newspaper outside, or simply enjoy the sweetness of the evening.

To make your stay easier, we’ve made arrangements for you to prepare meals when you don’t want to eat out.
The is a common room to share with the other guest rooms and are preparing a summer kitchen on the breakfast terrace near the reception.
There is also a barbecue with picnic tables.

A friendly concept
The rate of the bed and breakfast includes breakfast.
We serve it between 8:30 and 9.30 am under the gazebo of the terrace, near the reception.
We can choose tea, coffee or chocolate at your convenience. You will enjoy our delicious homemade jams with slices of good french fresh bread just delivered by the baker.
We have always chosen a shared table for all our guests. It promotes exchanges between guests and allows you to appreciate the friendliness and good mood that reigns at the Mas Cauvy.
Respect of security distances
However, this year we are taking good care to keep our customers away from each other in order to respect barrier gestures and keep everyone safe.
Breakfast is the perfect opportunity to share your impressions of the region’s sightseeing tours, with us or the other guests.
You may also ask us for information about the river spots, the surrounding markets, or the history of the region. We will be very happy to share our advice!
