Family safari tents at Mas Cauvy
Our 3 family safari tents are part of Mas Cauvy, a small campsite in the Cevennes, set in a green and peaceful area of the Gard.
The campsite is easy to navigate and calm, creating a safe and relaxed atmosphere for families.
Mas Cauvy stands for simplicity, nature and a personal welcome, with plenty of space for children to play freely.
A family-friendly campsite in the Cevennes
Mas Cauvy is a great choice for a stay with children. The site is low-traffic and easy to oversee, with no busy roads nearby.
Children have plenty of room to play outdoors and make new friends, while parents enjoy the calm and nature. On site you’ll also find a swimming pool, a small playground and a table tennis table.
Layout and comfort inside the family safari tent
Our safari tents (around 25 m²) offer a well-designed, functional layout — ideal for a comfortable stay with the whole family.
The sleeping area includes two separate bedrooms:
– Bedroom 1 with a 160 × 200 cm bed
– Bedroom 2 (depending on the tent): either a 160 × 200 cm bed plus a 80 × 200 cm bunk bed, or three single beds — perfect for families with teenagers
All furniture is wooden, creating a warm and natural feel.
With separate sleeping areas and a spacious living area, the family safari tent is practical and easy to organise, so parents and children can enjoy a comfortable stay together.
The wooden terrace: outdoor time together
Each family safari tent comes with a large wooden terrace with views of nature.
It is set with comfortable chairs and a table, so families can eat, read or relax together.
The terrace is a natural extension of the living area and invites you to spend as much time outdoors as possible.
Kitchen and practical facilities
The safari tent is equipped with a practical kitchen, so families can easily cook their own meals during their stay.
The kitchen includes:
– a fridge with a freezer compartment
– a coffee maker and a kettle
– a 4-burner gas hob
– cooking and dining equipment for five people
There is no running water inside the tent, but sinks and the sanitary facilities are a short walk away.
Practical info & extras
Pillows and duvets are provided in the safari tent. Bed linen and towels are not included, but can be rented on site. Please bring your own kitchen linen (tea towels, etc.).
Check-in is from 4:00 pm and check-out by 11:00 am. On arrival, please report to the Mas Cauvy reception. Parking is available near the safari tent.
The sanitary block with hot showers is a short walk away. The safari tent has lighting and electricity for everyday comfort.
Mas Cauvy is a quiet campsite with no entertainment programme. We kindly ask guests to respect the calm in the evenings and be mindful of others and nature.
